Hand-painted decorative plate in Italian Deruta majolica. It features a central bird surrounded by floral motifs in shades of green and blue against an ivory background. The rim is scalloped and glazed. An example of the traditional ceramic craftsmanship of Deruta, one of the most important historic centres of majolica production in Italy.
