Péckvillchen whistles are small ceramic whistles shaped like birds, a tradition typical of Luxembourg. They are handmade from clay and produce a sound similar to a bird’s song. The tradition is linked to the festival known as Éimaischen, held every Easter Monday in Luxembourg City and in the village of Nospelt.
Here we present a collection of seven whistles from different years, dating from 1984 to 2001. Each one features a beautiful vibrant colour that enhances the ceramic glaze and its nuances. A small collection built up over years of engagement with a beautiful tradition.
Whether for decoration or for fun, these ceramic pieces embody the charm of Luxembourgish culture.
