Set of thirteen hand-painted French faience plates from Le Pouliguen. Each scalloped plate is decorated with a unique Breton figure in traditional regional costume, surrounded by an elaborate floral border in cobalt blue, yellow, orange, green, and red. Hand-painted "Le Pouliguen" mark to reverse. This is a charming example of mid-century (probably produced from 1940) Breton folk pottery, suitable for display or table use.
What stands out about this set is the variety of different designs on the pieces. A table set with these plates is sure to delight and enhance any get-together with friends
