This is an interesting set of four coffee cups and saucers, made of glazed English porcelain and signed by Wedgwood.

The “Napoleon Ivy” pattern refers to the tableware produced for Napoleon’s use during his exile on Saint Helena in 1815. The ivy design in green and ivory symbolizes Napoleon, who, like ivy, spread throughout Europe and clung to power.

Later, Wedgwood continued this patern and reintroduced pieces like this one, making it a classic and recognizable design for the company. This particular piece was produced between the 1950s and 1960s.

This is a beautiful set, steeped in history, that turns coffee time into an aesthetic and historical pleasure!
